Each pen starts with a bottom section of solid brass that is set up in a metal lathe and machined to the proper length, width, and diameter.

The brass is then embellished with DrPhil's trademark, “form with function” spirals machined into it.

It is then highly polished, cleaned, and finished with a special coating that will keep it tarnish free and shining for years to come.

The Pen's top section is made from a hand selected piece of driftwood collected from the sugar white sands of Florida's panhandle.

It is placed on a wood lathe and turned to the proper length, width, and diameter.

The top DriftWood section is then sanded, polished, and finished with a secret process only known to DrPhil.

The gold plated ballpoint pen internals are then installed and the completed pen is hand polished.

The resulting product is a beautiful, hand crafted writing instrument that is a joy to use and will last for years.
